Final Years Receives Certificate of Recognition.

In a special ceremony, the final year students from the University of Papua New Guinea East New Britain students’ association (UPNGENBSA) were presented with certificates of Recognition and Appreciation by the UPNG ENBSA Executives.

The presentation celebrated the students outstanding achievements and dedication to their studies.

Presenting of certificates to the final years at the end of every year is a way of showing appreciation to the final years who will be leaving university to go out and begin another new chapter of life.

This is a show that the association values every little help give to the association.

The President Mr. Allan Robert praised the students hard work, highlighting the importance of education.

Mr. Robert added on to say “Grateful for the honor, the students promised to continue making positive contributions to the association.”

This Presentation underscores the remarkable accomplishments of these final year students, showcasing their significance role with the association.

The association Goals and Objectives shall be “Unity, Sustainability and Development of Human Resources”.

The associations objectives shall be as follows.

a)       a) Encourages unity and Corporation among member students.

b)      b) Attend to member students’ welfare

c)       c) Give support and encouragement towards member students studies.

Executives and Committees

The Association shall have the following executive posts:








a) PRESIDENT - Mr. Allan Robert 

b) VICE PRESIDENT - Miss Lydia Diop

c) SECRETARY - Mr. Raylee Eliuda

d) TREASURER - Ms. Gracelyn Rangan

e) CHAIRPERSON - Mr. Theodore Luka

f) MATRON - Mrs. Marlene Tolimán Akop


The occupants for each executive shall be elected in the last meeting of each academic year.

Election for each executive post shall start with nomination of nominees then vote by show of hands.

Where there is only one nominee nominated for a particular post, he shall be declared as the executive for that post, unopposed.


The newly elected executives shall appoint the following committees.

a) fundraising committee, Events Committee and 

b) public relations officer,


 COMMITTEES:

g) Kulala Balik - Public Relations Officer 

h) Russell Kilala - Events Committee

i) Sallyanne Palauva - Fundraising Committe


who shall be in charge of fundraising and public relations, respectively.

Starting on a High Note

In a resounding success, the University of Papua New Guineas East New Britain students were treated to a vibrant and informative orientation event. The occasion, designed to welcome and guide new students, took place with great enthusiasm and engagement.

The orientation, hosted with meticulous planning, featured a series of engaging activities. From campus tours to informative sessions on academic resources and student services, the event aimed to ensure that the newcomers first years and new members that joined the association felt not only welcomed but also well-prepared for their academic journey.

The members, past members and current students played a crucial role in the orientation, sharing valuable insights and experiences. The interactive sessions facilitated a strong sense of community, fostering connections among students and establishing a support network for the upcoming academic year. 

The success of the orientation was evident in the positive feedback from the participating students, who expressed gratitude for the warm reception and valuable information provided. The event not only marked the beginning of their academic journey but also set a positive tone for a collaborative and enriching university experience.

Choir Performance to Commemorate Late Founding Father

In a Heartfelt tribute to the late founding father, Great Grand Chief Sir Micheal Somare, the University of Papua New Guineas East New Britain Students Associations performed a moving choir at Forum Square. 

The Event held to commemorate the legacy of Sir Micheal Somare, bought together students, faculty, and members of the community.

The Choir performance, characterized by melodies and harmonious voices, resonated through forum square, creating a reflective atmosphere. As the students sang, their voices became a collective expression of gratitude and respect for the monumental contributions of Late Sir Micheal Somare to the nation.

the performance served as a fitting tribute to a leader who played a pivotal role in the birth and development of the nation.

The East New Britain student's associations choir performance not only honored Sir Micheal Somares memory but also understand the importance of unity and remembrance in preserving the values he stood for. the event stood as a reminder of the enduring impact of leaders who shape the course of a nation's history.

ENB Students Represents in NGI Showcase Night

The University of Papua New Guinea East New Britain Students (UPNGENBSA) took the spotlight at the NGI showcase Night Held at the Drill Hall. 

This event, which featured talents from the New Guinea Islands region, showcased the diverse culture that is hidden.

From Cool Performance to amazing talents, the East New Britain students impressed everyone at the scene. The night was not just about studies but also celebrating the unique culture of the NGI community. 

The Drill Hall came alive with the vibrant energy of the showcase, as students and visitors were amaze.

From Traditional dances to talented artist taking stage, the evening served as a platform for students to share their cultural identity and celebrate the unique identity.

The UPNGENBSA, with their participation and presentation, contributed to the success of the NGI showcase night.

The Event not only foster a sense a sense of unity among the participation but also underscored the importance of recognizing and celebrating the diverse talents of their Provinces.

Successful Closure of Year

In a joyous celebration, the University of Papua New Guinea East New Britain Students Association (UPNGENBSA) marked the conclusion of the academic year with a highly successful End of Year Functions at PapaLealea Beach last Saturday. The event was remarkably as it brought together the Members and the Past Pillars of the Association.

The Event celebrated what UPNGENBSA achieved during the Year, thanking the Members for the support throughout the year and also it brought past leaders back for reunion. 

Everyone enjoyed talking, laughing and playing and having a good time out. There were speeches especially from the Current President Mr. Allan Robert acknowledging the presence of everyone and recognizing the members who did a great job.

It was more than just a party, it was a way to show that UPNGENBSA is a big family that keeps going strong, with everyone looking forward to the next year.
